If you’ve already ordered a hot water system, valve kit and installation package — but your existing unit needs to be relocated to a new position — this Relocation Add-On covers everything required to move, re-run, and re-commission your system safely and compliantly.
Relocating a hot water unit is NOT a simple swap. It requires new plumbing lines, new electrical work, drainage adjustments, a compliant support base, and full reconnection to standards. This add-on ensures your relocation is completed by licensed professionals, in accordance with AS/NZS plumbing and electrical regulations.
✅ What’s Included in the Relocation Add-On
✔️ Relocation of your purchased hot water system to a new external position (distance limits set in your selected variant)
✔️ New plumbing line installation for hot, cold, tempering & drain lines
✔️ New electrical supply rerun, including:
• Safety switch upgrade (RCBO)
• New isolator switch
• Connection to the new unit location
✔️ New support base (heavy-duty plastic or concrete base depending on model requirement)
✔️ New compliant PTR/ECV drain line to an approved discharge point
✔️ Gas disconnection/reconnection & compliance (where applicable)
✔️ QBCC Form 4 submission & fees (where required)
✔️ Full commissioning of your system at the new location
✔️ Removal of old base (if present) and neat site cleanup
This add-on covers all labour, all plumbing work, and all electrical work required to move your unit to its new approved location.

❌ New hot water system (already purchased separately)
❌ Valve kits or fittings (must already be purchased or added to your original order)
❌ Stormwater upgrades beyond the new drain line run
❌ Internal relocations — this package is for outdoor installations only
❌ Cutting into walls, roof spaces, or internal pipework
❌ Additional access fees (if required — see below)
🚨 Access Requirements
This relocation add-on applies to outdoor, ground-floor installations only with clear access.
A two-man installation fee ($300) is required if:
• The new install location requires stairs, steep driveways, tight access under 1m width
• The unit cannot be safely manoeuvred by one technician using a trolley
• The old unit must be carried out from an obstructed area

📍 Location Requirements Before Relocation
To meet compliance, your selected new location must:
✔️ Be external to the building
✔️ Have enough clearance for ventilation and service access
✔️ Allow compliant termination of the PTR/ECV drain line
✔️ Be within the distance you selected in your product variant
✔️ Have a safe working area for installation
If your preferred location is not compliant, our team will recommend the nearest compliant alternative.
🔌 Electrical Compliance Requirements
Because the system is being moved, the electrical circuit must be rerun. This add-on includes:
✔️ New conduit/cable to the new location
✔️ Safety switch upgrade (RCBO)
✔️ New isolator next to the unit
✔️ Testing & commissioning
✔️ Electrical certificate (where required)
No electrical work can be done under a restricted disconnect/reconnect licence for relocations.
💧 Plumbing Compliance Requirements
Relocation requires new plumbing connections. This add-on includes:
✔️ New hot & cold water pipework to the new position
✔️ New tempering line connection
✔️ New PTR/ECV drain line
✔️ Reconfiguration of valves (valve kit must be purchased separately or already included)
✔️ Commissioning & testing
