Installation Terms & Conditions

Available to Listed Areas Only – Non-Refundable

• No Valve Kit: If no valve kit is purchased to suit your new system, no allowances will be made for any connection alterations. The system must be a like-for-like exact make/model replacement with no modifications required.

Installation Inclusions:

• Gas or Electric Storage System (Like-for-Like Replacement) in an external position only.

  • Your current system must meet the following conditions for installation to proceed:
    • PTR/ECV drain lines must be compliant and terminate into a sewer, rubble pit, or stormwater. If these lines terminate elsewhere, they must be within 2 meters of the hot water system.
    • The support base must be level, either plastic or concrete, and meet the manufacturer’s recommendations. If not, a new base will be required and should be purchased as an add-on.
    • Valves: Tempering, expansion control, isolation/non-return, and pressure limiting valves must be in good working order or purchased as part of a valve kit.
    • The existing hot water system must be oriented perpendicular to the wall and installed in a compliant location.
    • Adequate electrical cable must be available to reach the connection point of the new system.
    • The system must be external to the house unless an internal installation add-on is purchased.
    • Installations are for exact like-for-like swaps, e.g., Rheem 491250 replacing Rheem 491250, not for model upgrades or changes (e.g., from Rheem 101250 to Rheem 491250).

• Non-Refundable: Once our tradespeople arrive on-site, the installation is non-refundable even if the installation cannot proceed due to an incorrect purchase or non-compliant conditions.

Included Services:

• Installation of the purchased hot water system and valve kit (if purchased) in the external location.
• Removal of the existing hot water system. Disposal can be added at checkout if needed (see details for hot water system recycling).
• Electrical disconnect and reconnect: This covers like-for-like installations. Any system changes (e.g., switching from electric to heat pump) may require additional electrical work not included in this package.
• Gas compliance assessment and certification (if required).
• Submission of QBCC Form 4 and payment of associated fees (where applicable).

Installation Requirements:

• Like-for-Like Replacement Only: Installations are strictly for like-for-like replacements in an external location. Internal installations will require an internal installation package.
• Access Requirements: The installation area must be easily accessible. Installations requiring navigation over stairs, steep driveways, through homes, or other difficult areas will incur a reschedule $300 two-man team fee.
  • For installations where access is complicated, please contact us to confirm suitability and avoid delays.

Term: Like-for-Like Replacement

The following outlines acceptable like-for-like replacements. All systems must be installed in an external forward-facing compliant position. Please ensure the system will fit the designated space before purchase. If uncertain, email photos to help@installedtoday.com.au for verification.

1. Gas Storage replaced with Gas Storage.
2. Continuous Flow replaced with Gas Storage.
3. Continuous Flow replaced with Continuous Flow (existing power point must be re-used or pre-installed).
4. Electric Storage replaced with Electric Storage.
5. Electric Storage replaced with Heat Pump.
6. Heat Pump replaced with Heat Pump.
7. Heat Pump replaced with Electric Storage.
8. Gas Storage replaced with Heat Pump or Electric System (new circuit required—must be purchased).
9. Continuous Flow replaced with Heat Pump or Electric System (new circuit and support base required—must be purchased).

Important Note: If the system type or electrical load changes, an electrician will be required for alterations. The work can no longer be completed under a restricted electrical disconnect/reconnect license. Please also purchase the electrical extension package to cover the required alterations.
