No. Maximum head and maximum flow occur at different ends of the pump-performance curve.
The manufacturer curve begins at approximately 50m head near zero flow. As the amount of water being delivered increases, the available pump head progressively falls.
The curve shows materially less head by the time flow reaches 50–70L/min, with the final dashed portion approaching the maximum-flow point near 80L/min.
Do not treat 50m head as 490kPa available while delivering maximum flow. Pump selection needs to consider the required flow and pressure at the same operating point.

What Does the NXT CORE Controller Do?
The electronic controller provides automatic pump operation without a traditional mechanical pressure switch.
The system is factory-set to start at approximately 2.2 bar. The current manual allows the user or installer to digitally adjust the start pressure between approximately 0.5 and 6.0 bar.
When water demand ends and flow falls below approximately 0.5L/min, the controller stops the pump.

CONTROLLER LIMITS
What Are the NXT CORE Controller Ratings?
The current 2026 InoxCORE manual lists the NXT CORE controller at approximately 240V, 50Hz, with capacity for a pump load up to 10A / 1.5kW.
The same current manual lists a controller maximum pressure of 10 bar and maximum operating temperature of approximately 60°C.
The controller limit is not the same as the INOX90 pump-system limit. The current pump technical table lists a 6-bar maximum pressure for the InoxCORE pump system even though the controller itself is rated higher.
The current 2026 manual lists the controller at IP55. White International's live product metadata separately shows IP65 for the controller, so the rating shown on the actual supplied controller and its current documentation should govern installation decisions.
PRESSURE TANK
Does the INOX90CORE Need a Pressure Tank?
The system can automatically start and stop using the NXT controller, but the current manufacturer manual still recommends a 3L to 18L pressure vessel for most efficient operation.
A pressure vessel stores a small quantity of pressurised water and can reduce unnecessary pump starts caused by small draw-offs or minor pressure fluctuations.
Fewer starts can reduce repeated motor cycling and improve the way the system behaves under small water demands.
Do not describe the INOX90CORE as a system that never benefits from an external vessel. The current Bianco manual specifically recommends a 3–18L pressure tank for most efficient operation.
DRY-RUN PROTECTION
What Happens if the Water Supply Runs Out?
The NXT controller incorporates run-dry protection and automatic restart functions.
If usable water becomes unavailable, the controller can stop the pump to help prevent ongoing dry operation and can subsequently test whether water supply has returned.
This protection is intended as a safeguard rather than a normal operating method.
The pump still needs to be correctly primed and supplied with water. Bianco warns that running the pump dry damages the mechanical seal and can void warranty coverage.
SUCTION LIFT
Can the BIA-INOX90CORE Draw Water Up From a Tank?
Yes. The INOX90CORE is a self-priming jet pump and is designed for installations where water may be below the pump inlet.
The suction side is particularly important because air leaks, excessive pipe length, undersized pipe or too much vertical lift can substantially reduce the pump's actual duty.
The current manual states that where the suction pipe rises more than approximately 1 metre, a non-return foot valve and intake screen are required.

Why Does Suction Pipe Size Matter?
The manufacturer identifies the suction pipe as the most critical part of the installation.
A small, long or high-lift suction pipe creates additional resistance before water even reaches the pump.
Bianco's current suction-sizing chart progressively moves from 25mm to 32mm and 40mm pipe as suction length and vertical lift become more demanding.
A more powerful pump does not correct a poor suction installation. Air leaks, undersized pipework and excessive suction lift can cause substantial performance loss and reduced reliability.
RAINWATER TANKS
Is the INOX90CORE Suitable for Rainwater Tanks?
Yes. Tank-fed domestic water supply is one of the applications specifically identified by Bianco.
The stored water must remain suitable for the pump and should not contain significant sand, mineral deposits or other abrasive contamination.
The pump provides pressure from the tank but does not itself provide automatic rainwater-to-mains changeover.
